Where can I find the 20lb Bulk Boxes?

20lb Bulk Boxes are available through select retailers only. Because they require additional freezer space, not all stores stock them. Your retailer can often place a special order.

What if my store doesn't carry the specific product or formula I want?

All our retailer partners are able to place a special order for any Tucker's product on a weekly basis. Contact the manager of your local store to have them special order the product you're looking for.

How do I feed Tucker's Raw Frozen?

Thaw patties overnight in the refrigerator in a container on the bottom shelf. Feed cold or at room temperature and follow the feeding guidelines on the package based on your pet’s weight. Any unused product for that day could be stored in the refrigerator and consumed the next day.

How long will the food be good for after being thawed?

As Tucker's product is 95% human grade meat, you can treat it no differently than you would any meat you'd buy from the butcher or grocery store. We recommend using the food within 3-4 days of thawing, but you can use the same smell/see practices as with human meat products to determine freshness. Make sure the thawed food is stored in the fridge in a covered container for maximum freshness. Do not refreeze thawed product.

Can I cook it?

We do not recommend cooking, heating, or microwaving Tucker’s. As our diets are meant to be raw (uncooked), applying heat could destroy beneficial nutrients and it’s not recommended as our product contains ground bone. Bone tends to hold in heat and could cause pain or burns when ingested.

Where can I find nutritional information like ingredients, Guaranteed Analysis, calories, etc.?

Do you HPP your product?

These formulas are HPPed:
Chicken-Pumpkin, Beef-Pumpkin, Turkey-Pumpkin, Pork-Duck-Pumpkin, Turf & Surf

These formulas undergo Test and Hold (not HPPed):
Pork-Bison, Pork-Beef, Pork-Lamb, Salmon

What is HPP (High Pressure Processing)?

One of the most commonly used methods for helping to keep products free from pathogens in the human food supply chain is HPP (High Pressure Processing). HPP eliminates any harmful bacteria from the food by using cold water at an extremely high pressure (87,000 PSI for 90 seconds). Through our science and testing, we have not found any protein degradation during the HPP process that would affect the nutritional profile. Since there is no heating or cooking involved, the food retains its nutritional value.

Is pork safe for dogs?

Yes. Our pork is USDA-inspected and perfectly safe when fed as part of our balanced formulas.

Is salmon safe for dogs?

Yes. Tucker’s salmon is sourced from trusted suppliers in the Northwest and processed under strict safety protocols.

Yes. Many of our retailers participate in Tucker’s Frequent Buyer Program. Availability may vary by store.

Are 20lb bulk boxes included in the frequent buyer program?

No, 20lb Bulk Boxes are NOT included in any Frequent Buyer Programs. Tucker's bulk boxes are EDLP (Every Day Low Price) so a frequent buyer is essentially built into the pricing.

Additional FAQ's

Where does Tucker's make its products?

All Tucker’s products are made in the USA in our Wisconsin facility.

Where are your proteins sourced?

Our proteins are sourced exclusively from USDA-certified suppliers in the United States.

Who formulates your diets?

Our diets are formulated by an experienced team that includes animal nutritionists, food safety experts, and veterinarians.

Why does Tucker's vacuum seal each patty?

Vacuum sealing protects against freezer burn, preserves freshness, and prevents oxidation without needing artificial preservatives.

What is a 95/5 diet?

It means the formula contains 95% meat, bone, and organ, and 5% pumpkin. This ratio supports digestion and provides species-appropriate nutrition.

How do I feed the freeze-dried if there are broken pieces in the bag?

Broken pieces can be fed just like whole pieces. You may rehydrate them with warm water or sprinkle them over meals as a nutritious topper.

Why does Tucker's use so much plastic?

We actually don’t use any more plastic than other companies. With HPP (High Pressure Processing), products MUST be vacuum sealed in food grade plastic/film. We take a human food approach to using HPP and vacuum seal each individual serving. This allows us to HPP our patties in their final packaging and never open them prior to use. Most companies HPP their food in 10-20lb vacuum sealed packages. The product is then brought back to their facilities to be shaped into patties. This means that the product is reintroduced to people and equipment and the plastic is thrown away. Instead of throwing away the required film, Tucker’s uses it to benefit product freshness and consumer convenience, while avoiding the risk of recontamination.

Why do you use pumpkin in your formulas?

Pumpkin is a great low glycemic fiber source that supports healthy digestion.

Why don't Tucker's diets include fruits and vegetables?

Our formulas follow a simplified, species-appropriate approach centered on true carnivore-based nutrition. All Tucker’s formulas follow a 95/5 structure: 95% meat, bone, and organ and 5% pumpkin.

Why does Tucker's emulsify its products?

All of our formulas are emulsified for maximum absorption. Emulsification results in an even smaller and more digestible product. The smaller the particulate, the more accumulative surface area is available for our pets to absorb the available nutrients. With dogs having such a short digestive tract, providing the added surface area allows them to absorb more nutrients in a short period of time.

How do I feed the Freeze-Dried Formulas?

You can feed freeze-dried patties dry or rehydrate them with warm liquid such as water and pet-safe broths. Always provide fresh drinking water.

How many pieces are in a bag of freeze-dried?

Piece count varies by formula because each protein has a different weight and density. Bags are sold by weight, not by piece count.
