We listened to customer feedback and changed the 1-pound patty shape to a wider, flatter patty.
In the image above, new patty shape is on the right and the old patty shape is on the left.
Patties now stack flatter and cleaner in the box, which means less rub, which means fewer holes in the pouches. They better fill the box, which helps the box have less air and maintain temperature better in a freezer.
Our vacuum-sealing machine is able to remove more air from the pouches, causing less air pockets to frost.
Seals are now stronger as well, resulting in fewer leaks as patties thaw in the refrigerator.
Finally, the flatter shape means thawing individual patties in the refrigerator should happen faster.
